1. OpenQuiz is an independent platform

OpenQuiz is a product of OpenQuiz Company Limited. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any partnership with the examination bodies, educational publishers, or learning platforms referred to on this website or in our application.

Any reference to a third-party examination, organisation, or product name is made solely to describe the learning content and to help learners identify material relevant to their goals. Such references do not imply that OpenQuiz is licensed, authorised, or accredited by those organisations.

2. Third-party trademarks

The trademarks below belong to their respective owners. OpenQuiz does not own, and makes no claim to own, any of them:

  • IELTS — a trademark of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
  • TOEIC and TOEFL — registered trademarks of Educational Testing Service (ETS).
  • HSK (汉语水平考试) — a trademark of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education of China.
  • JLPT (日本語能力試験) — a trademark of the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES).
  • TOPIK (한국어능력시험) — a trademark of the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), Republic of Korea.
  • VSTEP — administered by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

The names of publishers, textbooks, learning applications, and other brands appearing on OpenQuiz likewise remain the property of their respective owners and are referred to on a descriptive, nominative basis.

The CEFR framework (A1–C2) was developed and published openly by the Council of Europe; it is an open reference framework, not a proprietary standard of OpenQuiz.

3. Where our learning content comes from

Content on OpenQuiz comes from three sources, and we distinguish clearly between them:

  • Content compiled by OpenQuiz: built and reviewed by our team before release. These word sets and learning paths carry a verification badge in the application.
  • AI-generated content: example sentences, synonyms, phonetic transcriptions, conversation prompts, and personalised learning paths are generated automatically. This content may contain errors — see Section 7 of our Terms of Service.
  • User-generated content: word sets, learning paths, and notes created or uploaded by users. OpenQuiz does not pre-moderate this content and is not responsible for its accuracy or legality.

The verification badge in the application means only that the content was compiled and reviewed internally by the OpenQuiz team. It is not the outcome of an independent third-party assessment, and it does not represent accreditation by any examination body.

4. No guarantee of examination results

OpenQuiz is a self-study aid. We make no promise, guarantee, or prediction of any score or outcome in the examinations named above. Learning outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including each learner's starting level, study time, and method.

Practice material on OpenQuiz is not real examination content, not leaked examination content, and not official material of any examination body. Predicted topics, where offered, are indicative only, are based on general trends, and do not represent the content of any forthcoming examination.

For official information on formats, fees, and test dates, please consult the website of the relevant examination body directly.

OpenQuiz respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you are a rights holder or an authorised agent and believe that content on OpenQuiz infringes your rights, please submit a notice following the procedure in Section 5.4 of our Terms of Service.

We acknowledge receipt within 3 business days and act on valid complaints within 10 business days.
